Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Office Assistant/Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the medical practice. Responsibilities

- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures to foster a positive experience.
- We are looking for an organized, detailed oriented individual to join our growing medical team.
- Help maintain a secure and positive office environment.
- Check-in patients, booking appointments, verifying and updating patient information in EMR
- Validation of OHIP health cards.
- Answering phones, screening patients over the phone and scheduling patients.
- Scanning and attaching documents to patient charts.
- Check office emails, voicemails.
- Follow up on consultation appointments for patients.
- Stocking and cleaning examination rooms and reception areas.

Maintaining Patient Confidentiality.

Triage patients take vitals on patients of all ages such as temperature, blood pressure,



pulse, height and weight, urine analysis, ear syringing, EKGs and record information in the EMR.

Preparation of the examination rooms and assisting physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.

Collecting lab samples and administering injections and immunizations upon physician's orders.

Preparation of trays as needed for procedures.

Clean and autoclaving of medical instruments.

Skills

- Prior hospital or clinical experience demonstrating familiarity with healthcare environments.
- Strong ability to provide compassionate patient care with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document and understand clinical information.
- Experience with medication administration processes and safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly within a multidisciplinary team.

- Intramuscular injection certificate
- Accuro EMR

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
