Pipelayer

Position Summary

We are looking to expand our team of experienced Pipelayers to support our growing business located in the West Shore of Victoria, BC. If you are an experienced Pipelayer with a minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience in installing underground utilities for drain, sewer, water, hydro, and telephone, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for experienced Pipelayers with a great attitude and have a strong work ethic.

Duties include:

Working safely and accurately to direct heavy equipment used in excavating and backfilling activities

All aspects of civil construction; sewer, drain, water installation. BC Hydro, Telus, Rogers installations. Road, curb, slab, sidewalk preparations.

Setting up a pipe laser and shooting grades.





Reading and understanding drawings and carrying out field layouts

Working as part of a team, following instructions, and communicate effectively while also being able to work independently when required.

Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies

Experience and Requirements

1-2 years of experience

Experience in civil infrastructure projects

Understanding of MMCD specifications

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and independently carry out tasks

Effective verbal and written English communication skills

Desire to grow with our company

Class 5 license is required

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
