Senior Estimator - Structural Steel

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiating pricing to ensure competitive and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare bid proposals, ensuring all project requirements are addressed and clearly communicated.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines based on the estimate.
- Oversee junior estimators, providing guidance, support, and ensuring accuracy in their work.
- Maintain detailed records of all project estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.
- Monitor ongoing project costs and provide feedback to ensure that actual expenses align with estimates, adjusting as needed.
- Stay current on industry trends,



material costs, and labor market changes to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Lead post-project analysis, comparing estimates to actual costs to improve future estimating processes.
- Contribute to a productive and positive team environment by collaborating with other workers.

What You Bring to Weston Manufacturing:

- Extensive experience in cost estimating within the construction or manufacturing industries.
- In-depth knowledge of materials, labor, and equipment involved in construction and manufacturing projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop precise, detailed cost breakdowns.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience guiding junior estimators and overseeing complex projects.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel estimation.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

- Ability to commute/relocate:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
