We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee financial operations for a large organization in Hawkesbury, Ontario. This role will guide accounting, reporting, compliance, and capital planning activities while supporting strong internal controls and informed decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will bring strategic insight, deep knowledge of healthcare finance, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership, board committees, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the hospital’s core finance operations, providing direction across payables, receivables, payroll, and general accounting activities.
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that align with applicable Canadian regulatory and reporting standards.
- Act as the primary contact for external audit engagements, coordinating deliverables, responding to recommendations, and strengthening follow-up actions.
- Oversee cash position monitoring, banking reconciliations, and stewardship of organizational funds to support sound financial management.
- Monitor changes in Ontario hospital funding approaches, compliance expectations, and sector best practices, and translate them into practical financial strategies.
- Drive improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and departmental processes to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve approval workflows.
- Enhance revenue reporting by supporting the effective use and optimization of financial system modules related to revenue recognition and analysis.
- Build and maintain reporting capabilities that give senior leadership and the Board clearer insight into organizational financial performance, risks,



and opportunities.
- Develop long-term capital planning resources covering facilities, equipment, biomedical assets, and related service agreements, while supporting infrastructure funding applications and reporting.
- Partner with internal teams, affiliated organizations, and regional stakeholders to support financial planning, capital initiatives, procurement participation, and broader organizational development goals.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership responsibility within healthcare, hospital, or broader social assistance environments.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
- Fluently bilingual in both official languages (French, English)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, internal controls, and regulatory compliance in a Canadian setting.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with healthcare funding models, community health environments, and financial practices relevant to Ontario hospitals.
- Hands-on experience with accounting and financial software platforms, including reporting tools and process optimization initiatives.




- Ability to prepare and present clear financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to executive leadership and board-level committees.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, support cross-functional collaboration, and manage special projects effectively.
