We're building an insulation crew, and we're starting with the person who will run it.

Home Pros Group has spent years in Greater Edmonton homes and new builds doing duct and furnace cleaning for builders and homeowners. We're now adding blown-in insulation, and we're looking for the experienced tech who will lead that work — set the standard, train the people who come after you, and own the quality that goes in the attic.

This is not a helper position. If you've been running a hose for a few years and you're tired of being the most capable guy on someone else's crew, this is the job where that actually matters.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Running blown-in cellulose and fibreglass installs in attics and walls — residential retrofits and new construction

Prepping the attic properly: baffles, dams, top plates, hatch, mechanical clearances, and everything that separates a real install from a bag count

Setting up and operating the blowing machine, hose runs and vacuum equipment, and keeping it clean and running

Hitting the specified R-value and depth consistently, and verifying it with depth markers and photos

Leading a helper or a two-person crew: assigning the work, keeping the pace, keeping the site clean

Talking to homeowners and site supers like a skilled — explaining the work, answering questions, handling the walkthrough

Doing the paperwork that closes the job: photos, measurements, materials used, before-and-after documentation

Basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the truck and equipment

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

2+ years of hands-on blown-in / loosefill insulation experience, attic work specifically

Comfortable working in attics — heat, cold, tight spaces,

poor footing. This part is honest work and it's hard.

Valid Alberta driver's licence with a clean abstract, and comfortable driving a work truck and trailer

Physically able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work off ladders

Able to read a spec and hit it, without being watched

Reliable. Shows up. Answers the phone.

WHAT'LL GET YOU THE TOP OF THE RANGE

Experience leading or training a crew

Spray foam, air sealing, or attic ventilation experience

Fall protection, confined space, or aerial work platform tickets

Familiarity with Alberta building code insulation requirements or energy-efficiency rebate paperwork

Any HVAC or duct experience — it pairs well with what we already do

WHAT WE OFFER

$30.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on what you can actually do, not on a formula

Full-time, year-round work. Not seasonal, not laid off in March.

Company truck and equipment. You don't supply the machine.

Company-paid safety gear and training

A small, direct company. You'll deal with the owner, not four layers of management.

Real input into how this division gets built. The way we run installs is not written in stone yet, and the right person will shape it.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Based out of Stony Plain, working across the Greater Edmonton area — Spruce Grove, Parkland County, Edmonton, St. Albert, Leduc, Sherwood Park and the surrounding communities.

TO APPLY

Send a resume, or just tell us what you've installed and where. If you've run a crew, say so. We'll get back to you quickly — we're hiring now, not building a pipeline.

Home Pros Group is an equal opportunity employer.

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
