About Us Holm’s Mechanical is a locally owned NAPA automotive repair shop working on fleet, and personal cars, vans and trucks. Holm’s has been in business for over 40 years. Working out of an 11,000 sq ft facility with 8 car hoists and 2 truck hoists and a current team of 6 technicians and two apprentices. Holm’s is the place to come if you want to be challenged and work with diverse mixture of vehicles and clients. We are focused on developing young talent in the automotive repair world and want our team members to grow.

What we are looking for

- An experienced Service Advisor to join our expanding service team
- We are seeking a conscientious and reliable individual. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service and is committed to helping customers take proper care of their vehicle. You need good time management skills and attention to detail. We want a team player with a positive attitude. The desire to take excellent care of our customers and provide honest and reliable services is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities:

- Book customer appointments and utilize the schedule for current and upcoming work
- Communicate with customers in person and over phone, email and text message
- Relay customer concerns and information about vehicle to the technician
- Order parts, maintain inventory, submit part returns and warranties
- Create Estimates for Customers with the work that needs to be done, what work should be done, and what work is good to do but not essential, delivering 100% transparent pricing to ensure that customers are in control of their money
- Create work orders and invoices
- Collect Vehicle and Customer Data
- Maintain courtesy car fleet including; maintenance, record of location, follow up on damage/tickets
- Follow policies, systems and procedures created by ownership/management
- Maintain a clean and tidy facility and personal workstation
- Adhere to workplace safety standards, taking all possible precautions to insure the safety and health of self and others through maintaining a safe work environment
- Maintain a professional appearance




- Drive up customer satisfaction by ensuring services are delivered on time and to the highest standards
- Handle customer complaints or issues, providing effective solutions and follow ups
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Support the technicians to optimize their efficiency
- Ensure all services comply with industry standards, manufacturer recommendations and safety regulations
- Process payments and perform day end responsibilities
- Drive revenue by tracking and planning appropriate maintenance for retail customer vehicles, soliciting new retail customers in regular day to day interactions and soliciting new fleet customers.
- Solicit reviews from satisfied customers for our various social media platforms.
- Wash/Clean Vehicles inside and out
- Perform walkaround visual vehicle inspections
- Assist technicians in light duties if required
- Perform wheel re-torque procedure
- Track Referrals and Current Customers
- Review and manage client’s vehicle maintenance schedules for every appointment and educate the customer about the required maintenance for their vehicle
- Update service interval window stickers
- Other duties as assigned by the Owner

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Service Advisor Role
- Experience with Rack Work Flow and Digital Vehicle Inspections required
- Conflict resolution skills and an ability to handle stressful situations
- Excellent Customer Service, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in using shop management software (Costar Experience an asset), point of sale (POS) systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other business tools
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong problem solving ability
- Basic mechanical understanding of vehicles
- Knowledge of automotive systems, parts and components
- Attention to detail




- Good Communication Skills: fluent spoken and written English required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and clean driving record/abstract
- Valid High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Average computer skills: ability to use a web browser, perform web searches, basic excel skills, basic word processors skills, ability to type 40 words per minute
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for up to 8.5 hours in length on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and long shifts as needed.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, work overhead and lay prone in a variety of positions and angles
- This position requires the associate to be physically present at the job site - not a remote position
- Must be able to work in an environment that includes the following hazards and wear the appropriate PPE: repeated loud noise exposure, high temperatures and heat stress, working with hazardous chemicals and lubricants, proximity to moving mechanical and hydraulic parts, electrical current

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. 8.5 hour shift including 30 minute lunch

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience
