Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating saws and related equipment to cut logs into dimension lumber according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and proficiency with various tools and machinery. The Sawyer plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes within our facility.
Duties
- Operate head rig saws to cut logs into dimension lumber and cants.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety.
Experience
- Prior experience as a headrig operator
- Candidates should have a robust understanding of measurements using calipers and other precision tools.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
