St. John Council for Ontario (SJCO) is a voluntary agency dedicated to improving the health, safety and quality of life of Canadians through training and community service. We are currently seeking a confident, energetic Client Instructional Representative to join our Northeastern Region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Instruct first aid, youth and other relevant Health and Safety Courses (training provided)
- Respond to incoming inquiries regarding training classes, first aid kits and products from the public
- Respond to, or forward as appropriate, incoming email enquiries from general email, and D365 leads
- Assist Training Coordinator with coordinating Instructor Development workshops
- Represent branch at community/corporate level events i.e. trade shows, presentations or wellness days
- Maintain safety data sheets and workplace safety notice board at facilities
- Restock classrooms with appropriate supplies and ensure all training equipment is fit for purpose
- Prepare paperwork for classes including printing certificates and file paperwork appropriately
- Market courses and products to students during classes
- Assist with various duties as assigned by the Regional Manager and Training Coordinator
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Instructional experience
- Excellent customer service / interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills; both written and oral
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including CRM software or willingness to be trained
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel within the Northeastern Region as required
- Occasional weekends may be required

Candidate must:
- be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a recent career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field
- have not previously participated in a NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate
- be 18 years of age of older
- be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Once hired, the candidate must reside in the North Ontario community in which they are employed

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
