We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skidsteers with precision and safety in mind
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement according to project specifications
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Perform minor automotive repairs on equipment or vehicles as needed to minimize downtime
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in construction, industrial, or similar environments
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred but not mandatory; relevant driving experience is essential
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on machinery
- Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
