RSS Inc. is hiring for Maintenance Mechanic and Sortation Control position, for their leading client's distribution centre facility in Etobicoke, ON.

This is a temporary to permanent role that includes benefits upon getting hired full-time by our client. The role could turn permanent based on performance.

This candidate would get trained on sorters and also overlook the weekend Sort control station that involves overlooking and troubleshooting Automated Sorters

Job duties:

- Apprentice position to start and look after small maintenance task such as:
- Daily preventive maintenance of all sorters
- Daily safety inspections of all sorters
- Work with Team lead on a daily basis on sorter function and controls
- Vertical sorter inspections on daily basis
- Repair gravity rollers, Accuglide conveyor system and repair belt section
- Repair flex lines
- Dock plate small repairs such as pull rings and chains, dock light maintenance
- Painting, grinding, welding if knowledgeable
- Forklift certified
- Elevated platform certified (Sky-jack type equipment) – asset though not mandatory
- Robust computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Know how to use power tools such as Grinders, Drills, Saws, etc.
- Cleaning of equipment and shop

Pay:

- $27.00 per hour to start

Shifts:

- 10:00 am to 18:30 pm to start




- 5:00 pm to 12:30 am later on to take over PM shift as a support tech
- Includes overtime hours and some weekend work when special projects or repairs are needed

Candidates with previous experience in roles like Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, General Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Assistant, Maintenance Associate, Maintenance Attendant, Maintenance Administrator, Maintenance Staff, Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Staff, Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Assembler, Maintenance, Mechanic, etc. are encouraged to explore this opportunity
