Heart's Home Daycare is a new Daycare facility that just opened and we are growing.

We are a Reggio-inspired, nature-based daycare seeking a Casual Early Childhood Educator to provide coverage when our regular educators are away due to illness, appointments, vacation, or other absences. This is a flexible position with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a warm, collaborative environment. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives while gaining valuable classroom experience.

This Position can turn into a Part-time or full time position in the near future.

Responsibilities

- Implement educational activities that cater to diverse learning needs and developmental stages
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging interactions and play-based learning
- Maintain a secure, clean, and welcoming classroom environment by following health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Help organize classroom materials, resources, and activities to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

- Proficiency in English
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles,



early childhood education practices, and special education needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
- Computer literacy for documentation, communication, and activity planning purposes
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as needed; previous classroom experience is advantageous
- Passion for teaching, leadership qualities, and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and learning
- Enjoys spending time outdoors in all seasons

Qualifications:

- Early Childhood Educator certification Level 1,2 or,3 is a MUST
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- A genuine love of working with young children
