Job Summary

Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop digital xrays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits
- Assist in diagnosing periodontal issues and provide preventive care instructions
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management Tracker an asset
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and answer their questions with professionalism
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs
- Maintain a clean, sterile environment following all infection control protocols

Experience





- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials in good standing
- Proven experience in dental hygiene practice within a busy dental office setting
- Familiarity with Tracker dental practice management software is highly preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures enhances your versatility
- Bilingual abilities are a strong plus for serving diverse patient populations
- Prior experience in dental assisting or customer service roles is beneficial for effective patient communication
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to oral health and treatment procedures
- Diode Laser certified is an asset
