Industrial Maintenance Technician
Quality Concrete Inc. is a market leader in the production and supply of ready-mix concrete for customers throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Headquartered in Dartmouth with plants in several locations across the region, the company’s growth and success has been built on industry knowledge, ethical business practices, quality products and exceptional service.
To continue our growth and success, the company requires the services of an Industrial Maintenance Technician to work out of our Dartmouth/Bedford locations.
Responsibilities
· Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on concrete batch plants and related equipment.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
· Maintain and repair conveyors, gates, valves, pumps, motors, compressors, and other plant equipment.
· Assist with maintenance and repairs to company vehicles, equipment, and facilities as required.
· Identify potential equipment issues and recommend corrective action before failures occur.
· Assist with plant upgrades, installations, modifications, and equipment commissioning.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to management.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
· Participate in seasonal maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency repairs when required.
· Work closely with plant operators and management to minimize equipment downtime and maintain efficient plant operations.
· Perform other maintenance-related duties as required.
Qualifications
· At least 2 years industrial maintenance experience in a comparable position.
· Minimum Class 5 driver’s license.
· Punctual self-starter.
· Experience with construction equipment an asset.
· Welding/Fabrication experience an asset.
· Troubleshooting/diagnostics experience an asset.

Experience:
- Industrial equipment maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
- truck maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 driver's license (required)
