About Us

North Auto Group is a busy automotive repair shop serving Lindsay and the surrounding Kawartha Lakes community. We are looking for a creative, reliable Social Media Content Creator who can turn the daily activity in our shop into engaging, professional content.

This is a hands-on, on-site position. You will film vehicles, repairs, technicians, customer transformations and behind-the-scenes shop activity. You should understand how to create content that catches attention, builds trust and generates local business.

Responsibilities

- Visit the shop regularly to film and photograph original content
- Create short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts
- Capture vehicle repairs, inspections, maintenance tips, before-and-after results and behind-the-scenes footage
- Edit videos with captions, music, transitions and strong opening hooks
- Write clear, engaging captions and select appropriate hashtags
- Develop and maintain a consistent weekly content schedule
- Publish content across our social media platforms
- Create educational content that helps customers understand vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Highlight our technicians, services, customer experience and shop culture
- Monitor content performance and recommend ways to improve reach and engagement
- Help develop promotions and seasonal campaigns
- Respond professionally to basic comments and messages when assigned
- Maintain an organized library of photos, videos and completed content

What We’re Looking For

- Experience creating and editing short-form social media videos
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
- Ability to film clean, professional-looking content using a smartphone or camera
- Experience with editing applications such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar software
- Strong storytelling, writing and communication skills




- Comfortable working inside an active automotive repair shop
- Able to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
- Reliable transportation to our Lindsay location
- Valuable judgment regarding customer privacy and workplace safety
- A portfolio or examples of previous social media content are required

Assets

- Previous experience creating content for a local business
- Photography, graphic design or paid advertising experience
- Experience growing a business’s social media audience
- Comfortable giving direction to staff during filming
- Ability to appear on camera when appropriate

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
