Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Meat Cutter to join our team. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, butchery, and food handling, with a strong focus on food safety and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while honing your skills in meat processing and food industry practices.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products according to specifications
- Ensure all meat is handled and stored following food safety regulations
- Package meat products neatly and accurately for retail or wholesale sale
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations when needed




- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and contamination during food handling
- Support team members in daily tasks to ensure productive operation of the meat department

Requirements

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to operate knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude toward customers and team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Kitchen experience or background in food preparation is a plus
- Must be able to work part-time hours with flexibility for shifts as needed

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
