FINISHING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Harco Developments is one of Calgary's leading landscape construction contractors. For over 30 years, Harco has been providing construction services, building and maintaining parks, storm ponds, sports fields, and other green spaces throughout Calgary, Airdrie and the surrounding area.

We are currently looking for highly skilled Excavator Operators to join our team for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Schedule

- 7:00am to 6:00pm
- Monday to Saturday (weekends mandatory)
- Immediately until December (weather dependant)

Role and Responsibilities:
- Land clearing, stripping, stock piling, rough grading, fine grading, finishing, backfill, loading trucks, etc.
- Must be confident, skilled and experienced enough to reach finish grade (within centimetres)
- Work with a team of operators, drivers and labourers to perform different tasks relating to landscape construction at all phases
- Conduct extensive pre- and post-use inspections on equipment

Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum FIVE YEARS of experience operating excavators
- Must also be able to operate skid steers and dozers




- Competent at interpreting plans and reading stakes
- Experience operating equipment with the use of GPS technology
- Must have the ability to arrive at various job sites around Calgary

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55.0 – 65.0 per week

Experience:
- Dozer operating: 2 years (preferred)
- Skid Steer operating: 4 years (preferred)
- Excavator operating: 5 years (preferred)
