JOURNEYMAN/3RD/4TH Year APPRENTICE HEAVY DUTYMECHANIC – WHITECOURT (WCT)

The Journeyman/3rd/4thYear Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical workingsof all vehicles.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure thatTrican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority inall activities
- Operate a hoistand lift device to position machinery in a safe manner
- Inspect andexamine vehicles and equipment
- Service,diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform otherroutine maintenance work
- Keep up to datewith industry standards and regulations




- Provides guidanceand instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenancepersonnel

Experience& Skills:

- 3rd or 4th YearApprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required
- CVIP isconsidered an asset
- Valid Class 1license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
- Heavy EquipmentTechnician will be an asset
- Safe drivingskills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Physically fit –heavy lifting required
- Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable ofcollaborating effectively within a team as well as working independently
