Job Title:Assistant Manager, Programs and ServicesContract Type:Part time, 21 hours per weekVacancy Type:Existing, Leave of AbsenceStart / End Date:March 2, 2026 – April 7, 2027, with the possibility of an extensionPosting Date:February 17, 2026Reference Number:CLNU-2026-01Salary Range:$60,000 - $72,000 per annumJob Summary:The Assistant Manager oversees programs serving marginalized and vulnerable residents, particularly seniors, youth, and newcomers in the west end of Toronto. The role is responsible for implementing programs, achieving outcomes, building relationships across the City of Toronto focusing on Parkdale and surrounding communities, mentoring staff, supporting CultureLink’s programming, and ensuring quality service provision, accountability and equity.ResponsibilitiesPrograms LeadershipDirect, control and evaluate the delivery of servicesDesign, administer and evaluate services to meet/exceed agreed deliverablesCoach and develop staff for optimal performanceSustain familiarity with current laws and policies regarding poverty reduction, youth and seniors’ services, newcomer services and community developmentDesign, collect, and analyze data to assess community needs and support program developmentIdentify program enhancements and collaborate on funding proposalsEstablish a community group for sharing best practices and challengesPrograms OperationsProduce data‑based reports to assist management in meeting funder expectationsManage tracking and submission of program reports to funders, board of directors,



and CEOImplement programs at multiple off‑site locations and lead a front‑line team to achieve deliverables under funding agreementsFoster a work setting that upholds CultureLink’s values of respect, quality, and continuous learningLead and facilitate hiring and onboarding of new employeesSet performance parameters, monitor achievements, support mentors, and conduct performance appraisalsMentor and develop team members with coaching and training opportunitiesManage physical resources and maintain accountabilityPrepare and compile periodic results‑based reports for funders and donors, ensuring accurate record‑keepingRelationships ManagementPromote CultureLink programs within community spaces and libraries in Parkdale and TorontoEstablish new connections with organizations and agencies in the Parkdale areaAct as a resource for partner concerns, maintaining regular interaction to prevent issuesRepresent CultureLink to stakeholders and partnersMaintain relationships with the Parkdale branch of the Toronto Public Library and other partnersImplement strategic outreach, expansion, and enhancement initiativesFinancial ManagementWork with senior management on budget development and funding approvalsAdminister and monitor program budgets,
