Become an integral part of APSEA as a Full time Education Support Teacher (EST) in Halifax/Truro, featuring hybrid work options. Lead the creation of responsive programs for learners who are blind or visually impaired.

In this impactful role, you will develop and implement educational initiatives that prioritize the needs of individual learners. Collaborate with educational teams and engage families to enhance their involvement in their child’s learning. Practical experience in technology and assessment will be key in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tiered support to educational stakeholders
Collaborate effectively with teachers and community partners
Engage families in program planning and execution
Assess and procure technology to aid access
Create a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere

Requirements:
Master’s degree relevant to BLV education
Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate
Proven experience with BLV youth
Knowledge of Unified English Braille and assessment practices
Excellent organizational abilities

Empower learners who are blind or visually impaired through cutting-edge educational strategies and cooperative support.
