Embrace marine archaeology with WSP's Heritage team as an Intermediate Archaeologist in British Columbia. Work on cutting-edge intertidal and underwater projects while collaborating with Indigenous communities.
This dynamic role allows you to participate in a variety of archaeological field programs that support marine remediation and coastal development. You will lead investigations into shipwrecks and submerged landscapes while providing high-caliber archaeological services. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and requires travel within Canada and to international sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support terrestrial and marine archaeological field research
• Manage marine survey activities using specialized technologies
• Partner with project teams and Indigenous communities
• Contribute to technical reports and regulatory documentation
• Mentor junior archaeologists in project delivery
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field
• Qualified experience in marine and terrestrial archaeology
• Familiarity with archaeological permitting processes
• Ability to interpret marine geophysical data
• Valid Driver's License for travel throughout British Columbia
