About the Role A California-based national legal news service is hiring a reporter to cover civil court filings in and around Quebec City. The reporter visits the Quebec City Superior Courthouse every weekday to review and summarize recent civil lawsuits and reviews appellate court rulings on a daily basis. A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in journalism is necessary.
Beyond courthouse coverage, the reporter is encouraged to pitch and write nationally targeted news and feature stories covering law, politics, the environment, culture, and other general topics in and around Quebec City. Some benefits are available.
What the Role Covers
- Visiting the Quebec City Superior Courthouse every weekday to review and summarize new civil lawsuits
- Reviewing and summarizing appellate court rulings on a daily basis

- Covering Quebec City and surrounding areas for a national audience
Qualifications
- Bilingual in French and English (required)
- Demonstrated interest and ability in journalism
