Thunder Bay Masonry Pros is a growing masonry contractor serving residential and commercial clients across Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. We specialize in brick repair, chimney repair, chimney rebuilds, tuck pointing, parging, foundation repair, and fireplace repair. We are known for quality craftsmanship, reliable execution, and a team that takes pride in doing things properly.

We are looking for an experienced Masonry Estimator to join our Thunder Bay team. This is an intermediate-level role for someone who can review project scopes, drawings, and site conditions, then prepare accurate and competitive estimates that translate cleanly into field execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed project estimates, budgets, quotations, and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents
- Conduct site visits across Thunder Bay and surrounding areas, take measurements, and assess existing conditions
- Build accurate cost breakdowns using Excel and estimating tools
- Source, review, and compare pricing from subcontractors and local Thunder Bay suppliers
- Support tendering activities, scope development, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with project managers and site crews for smooth project handovers
- Maintain up-to-date labour, material, and vendor cost information
- Clearly communicate estimate assumptions, exclusions, risks, and recommendations

Qualifications





- 3–5 years of construction or masonry estimating experience
- Experience with brick repair, chimney repair, tuck-pointing, parging, foundation repair, or related masonry scopes preferred
- Strong ability to read drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to attend site visits in and around Thunder Bay
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, accountable, honest, and professional approach
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
