The Maître D’ is responsible for the effective management and successful execution of Weddings and Special Events. This is accomplished by delivering genuine and thoughtful hospitality to our guests, while motivating and leading their team to do the same. Organization and attention to detail regarding room setup, décor, event timeline and food service are imperative. The Maître D’, while being confident and assertive, must also possess the ability to be flexible and remain calm under pressure – understanding that guest experience is of utmost importance.

The Maître D’ is the most Senior person in an Event room at any given time and is a role model to all the Event Servers, Concierges and Support Staff. Their leadership and professionalism is essential to a well-executed wedding or event.

This position requires late night, weekend and holiday work. Flexible availability is vital in a successful candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Serve as an ambassador of the property, acting as a liaison between guests, management, sales consultants, and team members.
- Coordinate with external vendors, such as florists, photographers, and entertainment providers, to ensure seamless integration into the event.
- Review chapel, cocktail and reception room setup with Wedding Concierge and Event Manager.




- Manage guest seating arrangements and handle any last-minute changes or special requests.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all elements are in place and meet the client's expectations.
- Monitor the event timeline closely, adjusting as needed to keep everything running smoothly.
- Handle any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of each event, including guest feedback and any areas for improvement, to enhance future events.
- Review chapel, cocktail, and reception room setup with the Wedding Concierge and Event Manager to ensure it is set up according to BEO and client instructions.
- Create, manage, and communicate to team members a plan of execution for the event, allocating duties and server sections.
- Conduct culinary briefing, maintain ongoing communication with chefs regarding timings, create order summaries, highlight any special requests or allergies, and oversee the execution of food service.
- Ensure effective and timely shutdown of event space and assist clients with teardown and removal of décor.
- Provide impeccable service and act as host to guests at wedding menu tastings, answering questions and providing accurate information in a timely manner.




- Seamlessly execute food service through ongoing communication with kitchen and event host/MC/coordinator.
