Position Overview
UP Vertical Farms Ltd, a pioneering leader in sustainable vertical farming and agri-technology, is seeking a motivated, organized, and results-driven on-site Sales and Marketing Supervisor to support and oversee daily sales and marketing operations while contributing to continued business growth across Canada and the United States.
This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating sales and marketing activities across grocery retail, distribution, and food service channels, with a strong focus on customer service, account support, lead generation, and brand promotion. The Sales and Marketing Supervisor will assist in driving revenue growth by supporting customer acquisition initiatives, maintaining client relationships, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring consistent execution of company sales and marketing strategies.
The successful candidate will combine leadership capabilities with hands-on operational support, leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and performance data to help optimize sales outcomes and marketing effectiveness. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager, Operations, and Accounting teams, this role helps ensure alignment between customer demand, production planning, and organizational objectives.
We are seeking an individual with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for sustainability and innovation within the food and agriculture industry. This position requires initiative, accountability, adaptability, and the ability to supervise multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work is performed primarily on-site and in accordance with established corporate policies and operational plans. Occasional flexibility for evenings or weekends may be required for trade shows, retail activations, promotional events, customer meetings, or community initiatives.
Performance will be evaluated by the Sales and Marketing Manager and Owners based on sales support performance, campaign execution, customer satisfaction, KPI achievement, and overall contribution to organizational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
1. Sales Coordination & Revenue Support
- Support the execution of sales and marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, retail partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Conduct prospecting activities through calls, emails, meetings, trade shows, retail visits, and networking initiatives.
- Maintain solid relationships with existing customers and support account management activities.
- Prepare and send quotes, proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence in a timely manner.
- Accurately confirm orders, pricing, and negotiated rates while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with weekly sales forecasting, reporting, and market analysis activities.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and industry trends.
- Maintain accurate customer databases, CRM records, and sales tracking systems.
- Support customer onboarding, issue resolution, and order coordination processes.
- Assist with pricing strategy coordination alongside management and accounting teams.
2. Digital Marketing & Campaign Coordination
- Assist with planning, executing, and monitoring digital marketing campaigns including social media, email marketing, website updates, and online advertising.
- Coordinate content calendars and support ongoing social media engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze website, social media, and campaign analytics to support marketing optimization efforts.
- Assist in maintaining website and online platform content to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, seasonal marketing initiatives, and product launches.
- Support influencer collaborations, retail partnerships, and community engagement activities.
3. Content Development & Brand Support
- Assist with the development and coordination of marketing materials including brochures, retail sheets, newsletters, posters, signage, social media posts, and website content.
- Ensure consistency in company branding, messaging, and visual identity across all communication channels.
- Support sustainability-focused storytelling and promotional initiatives that reinforce UP Vertical Farms’ brand values.
- Review and proofread marketing materials for accuracy and quality.
4. Event & Promotional Support
- Coordinate and support promotional events, trade shows, retail demonstrations, and community outreach initiatives.
- Assist with event planning logistics including vendors, promotional materials, schedules, and setup requirements.
- Represent UP Vertical Farms professionally at community and industry events.
- Assist with post-event reporting and performance analysis.
5. Administrative & Team Support
- Supervise and support team members in delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Assist with grants or other projects as required.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage customer inquiries.
- Schedule meetings and assist with calendar coordination.
- Prepare reports, estimates, presentations, and sales documentation.
- Maintain organized client, campaign, and project records.
- Coordinate internal and external marketing collateral including branded merchandise, signage, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Collect and organize customer feedback for management review.
- Perform store checks, deliveries and pickups
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service,
or business development roles.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience considered an asset.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms, social media management, and campaign coordination preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing digital campaigns, analytics, and multi-channel communications strategies.
- Experience in agriculture, food production, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or retail/wholesale distribution sectors strongly preferred.
- Certifications such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or related digital marketing credentials are
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience preparing reports, proposals, and customer correspondence.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, Canva, WordPress, or social media scheduling tools considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound marketing methodologies, brand positioning and audience segmentation.
- Expertise in digital marketing tools and techniques, including:
- SEO and SEM strategy implementation
- Social media content creation and campaign planning
- Google Analytics and performance reporting
- Facebook Ads, and email marketing platforms (i.e. MailerLite)
- Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Familiarity with WordPress and Hootsuite
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to interpret marketing & sales metrics and inform strategy
- Expertise in SEO/SEM, social media strategy, content creation, and analytics reporting.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as CRM platforms, email marketing software, ad management tools, and content management systems (i.e. WordPress).
- Working knowledge of emerging marketing technologies, including AI-assisted content tools, digital automation platforms and chatbots.
- Strong financial literacy, budgeting capabilities and cost tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- High level of adaptability in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, community partners, media, and the public.
- Highly organized, ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
Working conditions
- Work is performed primarily on-site at UP Vertical Farms in British Columbia.
- Primarily on-site at UP Vertical Farms in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.

- Occasional evenings or weekends onsite or travel required for promotional events, social media posts, sales meetings or retail/wholesale activations or as per business requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $50,000–$55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Extended health care, dental care, vision care, and life insurance.
- On-site parking.
Work schedule:
- Full-time: Monday-Fridays
- Mornings, Days, evenings shifts or weekend shifts based on operational requirements.
- Shift times may vary depending on business requirements.
Training:
- On-site and on-the-job training
