This is a joint venture between Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) and i-access, a drug and alcohol community service that offers specialist assessment, support and treatment to people in Surrey who want help with their drug and/or alcohol use. The role is a fixed term to the end of March 2027, but may continue subject to funding.
Responsibilities
- Provide information, advice and casework in all areas of generalist advice, particularly welfare advantages, debt and housing.
- Work with i-access service users either remotely or in person.
- Maintain and manage a demanding caseload, meeting deadlines and monitoring progress.
- Travel to the three i-access locations in Guildford, Redhill and Chertsey and to CAW’s office in Woking, while also working remotely from home with a confidential workspace and reliable Wi‑Fi.
Qualifications
- Recent experience of advising clients at Citizens Advice or a comparable organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a demanding caseload and manage time effectively.
- Patience and empathy are essential.
- Screened by DBS; a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to your suitability.
