We are actively seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to assist with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Health and Safety program at Côté Gold. The Health and Safety Coordinator works collaboratively with all departments to minimize risk and ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors and community members in terms of health care, emergency response, hygiene, health and safety training and government compliance. This role will be based at our Cote Gold mine site located in Gogama on a 14 on/14 off schedule.

Responsibilities





- Develop and review H&S; policies and procedures to ensure full alignment with company standards and government legislation.
- Support H&S; management by utilizing tools such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Incident Declarations, and ICAM investigations.
- Conduct daily inspections and safety audits to ensure field teams adhere to regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Facilitate accident investigations and risk assessments while maintaining accurate health and safety data reporting.
- Design and promote new safety training programs to foster a proactive safety culture and mentor new team members.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solution‑driven updates to H&S; processes.
- Partner with other departments to streamline risk management and ensure safety is integrated into all workflows.
- Coach stakeholders on H&S; objectives while managing risks across five dimensions.

Key Skills & Knowledge

- Post‑secondary diploma in health and safety, hygiene or mining‑related field.
- Canadian Registered Safety Qualified designation is considered an asset.
- Train the Trainer and First Aid Certifications are considered an asset, but not required.
- 5 or more years of experience in open‑pit mining and/or gold processing.
- 2 or more years of experience with Ontario Mining Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Skills & Strengths, We Value

- Excellent English, written and oral communications.
- High level of computer literacy in MS Windows and MS Office applications: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.




- Ability to work within Health & Safety Software systems.
- Autonomous mining experience is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $89,000–$133,500. The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
