Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associates to join our L'Anse aux Meadows seasonal team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our store, ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience. Your passion for customer service and love for local will shine through as you assist visitors in finding the perfect gifts to bring home.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and engage customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
n
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing items, providing information about products and their makers
n
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store setting
n
Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and manage daily sales reports
n
Restock shelves, manage inventory, and ensure product displays are attractive
n
Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism
n

nRequirements:n

Previous retail experience is preferred but not required
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
n
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
n
Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service
n
Knowledge of local heritage and history is a plus
n
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
n
Proficiency in English
n
French or second language is a plus
n

n*Please note this position requires own reliable transportation. Position starts June 1st and runs to early October when site closes for the winter.nThe Heritage Shop is a social enterprise run by the Historic Sites Association of NL.
