Schedule:This permanent full‑time position runs 7:30 am–11:30 am and 1:30 pm–5:30 pm, Monday–Thursday, and 7:30 am–4:00 pm on Friday, including Professional Development days (break 30 min 12:00–12:30 pm). During Easter, Christmas Reading Week, and Summer, the shift runs 7:30 am–4:00 pm (break 30 min 12:00–12:30 pm).
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Dusting, damp mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning washrooms, fixtures and partitions, washing desks, counters and doors, windows, cleaning blackboards and ledges.
Other related duties as assigned.
Heavy lifting may be required.
Pay:
$23.00‑$25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications
High school diploma.
Valid Building Operator Certificate “B” or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
Minimum of 2 years related custodial experience.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
Perform all custodial functions.
Operate heating and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of cleaning products and disinfecting procedures.
Operate and perform minor routine maintenance on all power equipment.
Knowledge of health and safety, fire, and security protocols.
Safe chemical management practices.
Basic spill clean‑up procedures for blood spills and minor chemical spills.
Planning and organization.
Physical demands of the position.
Mentor, supervise, and train custodial staff.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Use a variety of Division software programs.
Successful Criminal Reference Check within 3 months of contract start date.
