Position Description: Our client in York Region, ON is actively seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and manage all manufacturing operations at their facility.

Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for overall plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Plant Manager will oversee production, budgeting, operational controls, and team leadership while driving efficiency through lean manufacturing principles and performance metrics.

This individual will play a key role in aligning plant operations with organizational objectives and fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Direct and manage all plant operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets Coordinate production and departmental activities to achieve manufacturing goals in a timely and cost-effective manner Develop, manage, and control the plant budget while driving profitability and operational efficiency Implement systems to control operating costs, labor, overtime, and capital expenditures Establish and monitor plant performance standards for safety, production,



and quality Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices Oversee maintenance, facility improvements, and equipment upgrades Collaborate with engineering, R&D;, and cross-functional teams to support recent materials and product launches Drive safety programs, preventative maintenance, and workplace organization initiatives Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to management and plant staff Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage employee performance in alignment with company policies Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field Minimum years of manufacturing leadership experience , preferably within door, window, or lumber environments Experience with financial reporting and forecasting.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement frameworks Proven experience managing budgets, production metrics, and operational controls Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills Strong financial, quality control, and operational acumen Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant manufacturing systems Strong understanding of provincial health and safety regulations If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
