Our Client is a well-established, family-run feedlot and grain operation located near Woodlands, Manitoba. With over 60 years in the industry, they are known for their strong reputation, hands-on approach, and commitment to maintaining a reliable and effective operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual to join a stable, year-round operation and work in a well-equipped, modern shop environment.

The Opportunity

The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, heavy trucks, and trailers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and can troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical issues.

The successful candidate will bring a strong work ethic, practical mechanical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, heavy trucks, and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Complete preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Support welding and fabrication tasks as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment




- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support overall farm operations

Qualifications

- Experience servicing and maintaining equipment, trucks, and trailers
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capabilities
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required; Class 1 considered an asset
- Red Seal certification considered an asset but not required
- Welding experience considered an asset
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in a variety of conditions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

- Full-time, year-round position
- Based on-site near Woodlands, Manitoba
- Reliable transportation required
