We’re pleased to introduce a new opportunity within the agency: “Float” Flex Positions. These roles are designed to provide support across multiple locations, helping ensure continuity of care where coverage is needed most.

This is a great opportunity for Support Providers who enjoy variety in their work, are adaptable, and are looking to expand their experience across different programs and teams.

In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to work across various locations and schedules based on operational needs. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may vary and assignments may change with short notice to support staffing requirements.

“Float” Flex employees are expected to perform all core responsibilities of a Support Provider, including supporting activities of daily living, personal care, medication administration, and implementing individualized support plans.

This role plays a key part in maintaining quality supports for people supported, while strengthening our overall team approach across the agency.

- Have experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is an asset
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License - G or G2 and reliable transportation
- Possess NVCI certification - current or take our certified course, hiring requirement
- Have First-Aid/CPR Level B or C - must be current or obtain at own cost
- Are comfortable with using and have experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, ShareVision, Teams

Direct Support Worker responsibilities:

- Support adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with their support plan
- Provide supports for daily living which may include ensuring a clean and safe living environment, assisting with personal hygiene, administering medications, planning and preparing meals

Community Living Haldimand has been supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1958. We are located in Haldimand County, with sites in Dunnville, Cayuga and Hagersville.
