We are currently hiring two (2) Temporary Warehouse Labourers (Leave of Absence Coverage), to join the team at our Evaporation Plant in Goderich, ON.

Compass Minerals’ Goderich Plant has operated since 1867, after an unsuccessful search for oil uncovered a vast bed of rock salt under Goderich. Using mechanical evaporation, the plant produces high-purity, fine- and coarse-grained salt products in packages and in bulk for commercial, agricultural and industrial applications. The plant also packages rock salt from the mine that is used for deicing and water conditioning.

Goderich is named Canada’s Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1.5 hours from London and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully,



the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following

- General labour (i.e. cleaning, painting and janitorial duties)
- Operate packaging equipment
- Forklift and other heavy equipment operations
- Loading bulk trucks
- Dust collection duties
- Sanitation related inspections and cleaning
- Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Varied Shifts and hours will be required, Days, Afternoons, Midnights.

What should you bring to the role?

- Minimum High School Graduate
- Previous manufacturing/industrial equipment operation and material handling equipment operation is preferred
- Previous forklift experience is preferred
- Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Robust attention to detail

- Vacancy Status: Leave of Absence Coverage
- Salary:$32.53/hr.
