Electrical Project Manager & Estimator

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This role works closely with the Owner and Service Manager to support estimating, client relationships, and project management.
Job Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for electrical estimating and bidding, while also supporting project management and coordination and contributing to client relationship development and business growth.
The focus is on building relationships, following up on opportunities, and helping secure work through strong estimating and client interaction, with opportunity to grow into expanded business development responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities:
Estimating:
· Create and submit accurate, competitive quotes
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
· Conduct site visits and perform material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor take-offs
· Analyze drawings and specifications to determine full project scope
· Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
· Prepare bid summaries and proposal documents
· Develop electrical designs and plans, coordinate with owners and engineers
· Build and maintain a pipeline of bid opportunities
· Follow up on submitted quotes and tenders
Project Management & Coordination:
· Work alongside the Owner and Service Manager to support project execution
· Assist with scheduling, materials coordination, and project tracking
· Coordinate and close out RFIs
· Manage and track change orders
· Communicate with foremen regarding materials, manpower, and schedule updates
· Participate in jobsite and progress meetings as required
· Manage project timelines: planning, preparing, and monitoring schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Client Relations & Business Development:
· Maintain and build relationships with existing clients, contractors, and suppliers
· Follow up with past clients and warm leads to generate repeat business
· Identify and pursue select new project opportunities
· Represent the company during walkthroughs, site meetings, and client interactions
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating (project management experience considered an asset)
· Experience across commercial, industrial, and/or residential projects
· Alberta/Interprovincial Electrical Journeyman Certificate required
· Proficiency working with Trimble/Accubid or other estimating software
· Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
· Experience with Jobber software is an asset
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and projects
· Strong communication and skills working with people and teams
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
