Position Summary
We are currently hiring full-time Security Guards for a construction site located in Port Colborne, Ontario. This role requires reliable and professional individuals who are comfortable working in a dynamic construction environment and can support full 24/7 site coverage.
Candidates must be flexible and able to work their assigned schedule based on operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certification
- Previous security experience preferred
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and active environment
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the construction site to ensure safety and security
- Control access to the site and verify credentials
- Enforce site safety rules and PPE compliance
- Identify and respond to hazards, incidents, or security breaches
- Maintain a visible and professional presence on-site
- Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with site personnel and management
- Respond to emergencies and escalate when required
Required PPE
All guards must have the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- 6-inch CSA-approved green patch safety lace-up boots
- (Slip-on safety boots are NOT permitted)
- CSA and/or ANSI Type 2 hard hat with manufacturer-approved four-point chin strap
- Class 2, Level 2 high-visibility vest, jacket, or shirt
(Orange or yellow only – no red, black, blue,
or other colours permitted)
- CSA-approved safety glasses / eye protection
- Work gloves (hand protection required at all time
