Blue Mountain Fruit Company is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to handle plumbing maintenance and repairs across our facilities and farms in Thornbury. This position is full-time, permanent, and fulfills an Existing Vacancy.

This is a hands-on job across a large apple packing and farm operation. You’ll be fixing real problems, preventing breakdowns, and keeping systems running.

What You’ll Do

- Repair leaks, valves, pumps, drains, fixtures, and water lines
- Maintain building and farm plumbing systems
- Install/replace toilets, taps, shut-offs, traps, and fittings
- Support seasonal systems including winterizing water systems and spring start-up
- Perform preventive inspections and maintenance on pumps, pressure systems, and shut-offs
- Do basic electrical troubleshooting (reset breakers/GFCIs, check power, lock-out/tag-out)
- Appliance repairs connected to plumbing (dishwashers, sinks, hot water tanks)
- Keep service notes and communicate with operations staff

What You Need

- Previous plumbing experience (required)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors and handle physical tasks




- Comfortable working independently and solving problems

Assets (Nice to Have)

- G2/G3 Gas ticket
- Agricultural, industrial, or food facility experience
- Confined space or backflow experience

Schedule

- Monday–Friday daytime
- On-call for urgent issues
