Are you mechanically inclined, good with tools, and enjoy hands-on work?
Levitt-Safety is hiring a Field Service Technician to support operations at the Rocanville Potash Mine. In this role, you’ll work underground servicing fire suppression and safety systems on heavy mining equipment that protect workers and machinery.
If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working safely, and taking pride in doing quality work, we’ll provide the training to build a long-term career.
This is a drive-in / drive-out position with a company service truck provided.

Where you can live
This is a drive in/drive out role. The ideal candidate will reside in Rocanville or in a town within about 2–2.5 hours’ drive (Saskatchewan or Manitoba)
Work Environment
This is a hands-on mechanical role in an underground mining environment.
You will:
- Work underground at the Rocanville potash mine
- Service vehicle fire suppression systems on heavy mining equipment
- Use hand tools and basic electrical troubleshooting to diagnose issues
- Complete inspection reports and service documentation
- Drive a company service truck to customer sites
- Work closely with the service team to plan daily service work
- Help ensure critical safety systems are working properly
You could be a great candidate if you have a background in:
- Farm or agricultural equipment repair
- Heavy equipment maintenance
- Mining or industrial maintenance
- Truck and transport repair
- Mechanical shop work
- Oil & gas field service
If you are mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools, we can train you on the fire safety systems.
What You Bring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools
- Basic electrical troubleshooting is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- A solid safety mindset and attention to detail
- Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
- Comfortable using a phone or tablet for reports and training
Fire protection experience is not required - we provide full training.
Physical & Safety Requirements
This is a safety-sensitive position in an underground mining environment.
The role requires:
- Working underground around heavy equipment
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
- Wearing respirators and required PPE
- Ability to pass regular drug & alcohol screening, background checks, and maintain a clean driving record.
