TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

OUR LADY OF SORROWS

1.0 FTE • Grade 3/4 • Effective immediately until approximately April 24, 2026 (not to extend beyond June 26, 2026).

Mandatory Requirements

- Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Divisions.

Preferred Requirements

- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division.
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
- Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy.
- Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents.




- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement.
- Willingness to actively assume extra‑curricular duties.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset.
- Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset.
