Reporting to the Vankleek Hill Business and Merchant Association (VHBMA), you will primarily serve as the tourism information center attendant, welcoming visitors, promoting local businesses and displaying brochures. In addition to these core duties, you will also support the Association’s digital outreach by helping to promote members, events, and the region through engaging online content and social media activity.

Area of Responsibility

Tourism & Visitor Services

- Greet and assist visitors at the tourism center
- Organize and display brochures and promotional materials
- Direct visitors to local businesses and attractions
- Keep basic visitor stats and records
- Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, or by email
- Perform light administrative tasks as needed

Digital Communication & Promotion

- Help keep the VHBMA website and promotional content up to date
- Assist in creating and sharing engaging digital content (photos, posts, stories, short videos)
- Promote local businesses and events through social media
- Design layouts for presentations, brochures, newsletters and any other promotional content.
- Identify insights and trends to optimize communication from the VKHBMA to its members and potential clients.
- Support the planning of a content calendar




- Bring ideas to improve online visibility and community engagement

Selection Criteria · Candidate between the age of 15 to 29 years old.

· Strong interest in community development and local tourism

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

· Self-directed and able to work without supervision

· Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment and shifting priorities

- Ability to generate creative ideas
- Proactive attitude and enthusiasm to tackle new projects and ideas with an eye for details
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written (an asset for managing bilingual content)

Preference will be given to candidates who live in Champlain, ON Job Type: Full time, Contractual/Seasonal

Contract length: 12 weeks maximum

Part-time hours: 35 hours per week

Start date: June 2026.

Salary: $17.60/hour
