Riva Italian Restaurant is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our back-of-house team as Dishwashers for the busy summer season. This is an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall flow of our kitchen and service operations.

We value team members who take pride in supporting the kitchen, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain high cleanliness standards at all times.

Position Overview

As a dishwasher at Riva, you are a key part of the kitchen team. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and properly organized to support a smooth and efficient service.

This role also includes light kitchen support duties and general cleanliness responsibilities throughout the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of dish area, kitchen floors, and waste stations
Organize and properly store clean items in designated areas
Assist with basic kitchen prep or support tasks when required
Remove garbage, recycling, and compost regularly




Ensure dish machine is properly maintained and stocked with supplies
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Maintain a clean, organized, and protected workspace at all times
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and follow direction
Demonstrate reliability and robust work ethic
Support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods

Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Legally eligible to work in Ontario
Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an asset, but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
