Role: Python Game Developer

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $85,000 – $140,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Python Game Developer to build games, simulations, or game tooling in Python. The role combines Python craft with games-specific work — shipping clean, maintainable systems that designers and engineers love to build on.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain game features, tools, and backend systems in Python
Develop game logic, simulation systems, or AI behaviours
Build internal tools and pipelines for designers and content creators
Integrate Python systems with engine, server, or web components
Diagnose and resolve bugs across the game stack
Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering practices

Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years building production Python applications, ideally in games or simulation
Strong Python skills, including async, performance optimisation, and packaging
Experience with game frameworks (Pygame, Panda3D, Ren'Py) or Python in larger engines (Maya, Blender, Unreal)
Familiarity with game backends,



multiplayer systems, or simulation engines is a plus
Comfort with version control, testing, and CI workflows
Solid software engineering fundamentals
