Glasstown Brewing Company is a locally owned and operated brewery in Wallaceburg, Ontario, with a passion for crafting great beer and delicious food. We take pride in providing a welcoming setting for our customers and a supportive workplace for our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team under the leadership of our Head Chef.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cook to prepare high-quality food that complements our craft beer selection. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work well in a team. The Cook will report directly to the Head Chef and support the daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards set by the Head Chef.
- Ensure food is presented in an appealing and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support special events as required.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience is required
- Knowledge of food safety, handling, and preparation techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen are crucial for success in this role.
Required:
- Food Handler Certification
- Kitchen experience (3 years minimum)
