Permanent Full-Time Physiotherapist – Santé Manitouwadge Health
Santé Manitouwadge Health Manitouwadge Ontario immediate opening for a full time Physiotherapist.

Your responsibility will be shared between out-patient rehabilitation services, in-patient services, and long-term care residents. In addition to the traditional out-patient rehabilitation services, there is also a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program offered which is integrated with Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre. The GLA:D Canada Program has been offered through the out-patient clinic over the past years. There have also been several collaborative programs, integrated with the FHT, for residents of the community such as a Metabolic Syndrome Program, a Chronic Pain program, and a Complex Care program which offer unique team building opportunities as well as integrated care for patients enrolled in these programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating and working within the multi-disciplinary team, the Physiotherapist is responsible for program development, service planning and implementation. They are responsible for direct patient care by selection and application of appropriate assessment and treatment programs, progression, and modifications of treatment dependent on patient’s response to the treatment with regular re-assessments and documentation of all aspects of patient care,
including actively participating in patient care meetings, and maintaining relevant statistics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered member in positive standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of clinical experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a variety of patient settings
knowledge of Chronic Disease Prevention Model and Self-Management Programs
Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work independently
Comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Incentives:
$1000 recruitment allowance
$500 accommodation allowance for three (3) months
$1500 at the completion of probation
$2500 following one (1) year of employment
