Georgian Bay Septic and Barging is a locally owned and operated construction firm specializing in septic tank pumping, septic installation, barging, shoring, excavation, demolition, roofing, landscaping and other contracting services. We are looking for a robust individual to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Ability to operate various hand tools such as drills, hammer, level etc.
- Driving the barges
- Load and unload materials from barge and boat.
- Responsible for setup and cleanup of job sites.
- Provides manual labour and assistance to lead hand.
- Assists with numerous projects i.e. Septic pumping and installations, material deliveries, landscaping etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Work Experience

- Relevant work experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.




- Comfortable working at heights and in different environments (Indoor/outdoor, Hot/cold).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good working knowledge and experience of various equipment and machinery.
- Boating experience considered an asset.
- Experience operating equipment considered an asset
- Must be able to swim and be comfortable on a boat/barge.
- Ability to follow instructions with a detail oriented mind.
- Must be physically fit with the ability to lift 80 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Severn, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- construction: 1 year (preferred)
