Job Summary:

We currently have an open position for a Maintenance Technician to join our team on the day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm). This role is responsible for performing general building, equipment, and property maintenance at the Elie and Lowson Crescent facilities. This role supports safe and efficient operations by completing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and facility upkeep including electrical, plumbing, welding, and equipment maintenance tasks.

The position is based in Elie, MB, with travel to the Lowson Crescent location in Winnipeg as required. The Maintenance Technician works independently to identify maintenance needs, complete repairs, and ensure both facilities and surrounding property remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Elie, MB Facility





- Perform yard maintenance including snow removal, sanding, grass cutting, and weed control.
- Conduct minor electrical repairs and replace lighting as required.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs such as clearing clogged drains and fixing leaks.
- Complete small welding repairs for building maintenance or production equipment.
- Clean and maintain building eaves.
- Repair minor cracks in floors and concrete surfaces.
- Install facility items such as signage, white boards, cork boards, dispensers, and hooks.
- Maintain and perform basic servicing of equipment including skid steer and genie boom.
- Paint pedestrian safety markings, pipes, and other facility areas as required.
- Perform door maintenance and repairs.

Lowson Crescent (Winnipeg) Facility

- Install small equipment such as dispensers and pump stands.
- Fill cracks in interior and exterior walls for insulation and building maintenance.
- Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical repairs.
- Maintain catch basin pumps.
- Clean and maintain building eaves.
- Repair minor floor cracks.
- Install facility fixtures including signage, boards, dispensers, and hooks.
- Paint pedestrian safety markings and pipes.
- Perform door repairs.

Additional Responsibilities

- Assist production or warehouse staff when operational support is required.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in overtime or call-ins when necessary.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Minimum two years of general maintenance experience including:

o Electrical maintenance

o Plumbing repairs

o Welding

- Class 5 Driver’s License.




- Forklift experience or license preferred.
- Experience operating skid steer, genie boom, or scissor lift equipment preferred.
- Use of hand and power tools (drills, saws, impact tools, air compressor)
- Basic equipment maintenance including fluids, belts, and tires.

Working Conditions:

- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors at both Elie and Lowson Crescent facilities.
- Travel between locations is required.
- Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and industrial environments.
- Duties may require working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Position requires physical activity including lifting (up to 50lbs), bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Emergency call-ins and overtime may be required.
