Accounting Supervisor – On‑Site (Windsor Junction, NS)

Location: Windsor Junction, Nova Scotia

Position Type: Full-time, On-site.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly detail‑oriented and solutions‑driven Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Bedford. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative office environment, enjoys mentoring others, and has a knack for turning complex financial challenges into clear, actionable insights.

You’ll oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, lead month‑end and year‑end processes, and help strengthen internal controls—all while guiding a small accounting team toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

· Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports

· Support month‑end and year‑end close processes

· Identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions

· Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

· Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members

· Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting,



and financial analysis

· Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as needed

What We’re Looking For

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

· Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically

· Proven experience in accounting supervision or senior accounting roles

· Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

· Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

· Strong communication and leadership skills

· Ability to work on‑site in Bedford.

Qualifications

· Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
