Temporary Part Time Direct Support Professional: 32.75 hours/week, for 6-8 weeks

nCommunity Living St. Marys and Area is a dedicated, community-based agency supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live inclusive and meaningful lives. We partner with people, families, and communities to provide services that foster independence, inclusion, and well-being.We are currently seeking someone to work a 6-8 week temporary contract position for people living in St.Marys.n

The regular 4-week rotation will include a variety of shifts, encompassing every other weekend. Candidates with PSW/DSW education are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

n

n
- A belief in citizenship and the value of strong relationships
n
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A respect for all to make their own choices
n
- Minimum Grade 12 or high school equivalent, with preference given to those with DSW/PSW
n
- A clean Vulnerable Sector Record**
n
- A current, valid ‘G’ driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
n

nKey Responsibilities:n

- Provides direct assistance and support based on the needs of the person and as directed by the support plan and/or life plan
n
- Supports people to achieve goals, explore community resources, and build meaningful connections




n
- Provides clear and unbiased guidance to support people in making informed choices
n
- Participates in ongoing training and reflective practices
n
- Completes all daily administrative duties as assigned
n
