The Opportunity We are currently seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Mines Technical Services Team in Thompson, Manitoba. This is a permanent position.
n
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our 24 Month Rolling Schedule in Deswik. This schedule is used to set production targets for various time periods, and schedule out conflicts which may put those targets at risk. The incumbent will work collaboratively with their peers in the engineering team and cross functionally with all other areas of the operations. Additionally, in this position you will: · Update stope designs using Deswik mine design software.

· Update development designs for accessing the ore body and other infrastructure.
n
· Ensure proper assignment of backfill to stopes for forecasting consumables.
n
· Link mine infrastructure to production.
n
· Manage projects related to mine improvement and infrastructure replacement.
n
· Communicate with operation, contractor, and construction crews to maintain scheduled timelines.

About You
n
Education
n
Engineering Degree in Mining is required.
n
Must be eligible to register as an Engineer in Training with the Professional Engineering Association in Manitoba.
n
Experience: 2 years of underground mining experience is an asset, however EITs with less experience are encouraged to apply.
n
Skills
n
· Expert knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
n
· Experience with 3D mine design software (Deswik preferred)
n
· Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills
n
· Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
n
