- 20 - 35 hours/week, early June to early October
n
- prior floral design experience required
n
- wages start at $20 for those who have less design experience
n
- higher wages will definitely be negotiated for those with more experience
n
- Must be able to lift a 5 gallon bucket of water
n
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
n
- Must have a valid license and access to a vehicle for deliveries
n
- deliveries are paid at $0.67/km on top of hourly wage
n

nTasks include but are not limited to:nn
- designing a broad array of floral arrangements including boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets, floral arch sprays, centrepieces, market bouquets etc
n
- farm tasks like planting, harvesting and caring for cut flowers grown on our farm
n
- processing shipments of flowers (scrubbing pails, cutting stems, storing in our cooler)
n
- delivering wedding flowers and setting up floral installations at venues across PEI
n
- delivering other types of flower arrangements (funerals etc)
n




- serving drop-in customers from our local community
n
- dressing appropriately each day for each type of task
n

nThe ideal person for this job would be:nn
- someone who is creative and enjoys hands-on activities
n
- takes pride in their work, has a desire to provide a high level of quality in each task
n
- is good at problem solving, excited to take on challenges and is good at thinking on their feet
n
- dependable - always shows up to work on-time. This is especially important on busy wedding delivery days.
n
- knows how to speak professionally to customers (brides)
n
- isn't afraid to use a shovel and work outdoors in the soil sometimes (mostly in the early spring and mid-fall)
n
- can work both as a team player as well as independently/by themselves
n

nJob Types: Full-time, Part time, PermanentnPay: $20.00-$30.00 per hourn
