Red Door is seeking talented and dedicated part-time and full-time Line Cooks AND Prep Cooks to be part of our busy brunch kitchen crew. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have good vibes, we'd love to meet you!

LINE COOKS:

nWe are a brunch restaurant/coffee shop, so you'll be working daytime hours. Some weekend availability is required.n

Tips will be shared between FOH and BOH to be determined and will add $$ to your hourly.

n

This position is best suited for a motivated, experienced cook who is interested in leaving the nighttime restaurant scene and is interested in a more balanced lifestyle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

n

- Prepare and cook line menu items to Red Door's high standards
n
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
n
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet our standards
n
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
n
- Work interchangeably between prep work and line work.
n
- Follow health and safety guidelines
n

- Experience as a line cook or similar role (show us what you’ve got!)

- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen gear
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

nPREP COOKS:n

What You’ll Be Doing:

n

n
- Keeping our pantry stocked with frozen meals and grab and go food items
n
- Production of soups, and salads
n
- Deli meat and cheese portioning
n
- Production of large scale prep tasks for our line cook team (ie. gravlax, sausage patties, shakshuka, pork belly, fruit compotes etc.)
n
- Support daily production for service
n
- Maintain a clean, organized station
n
- Follow food safety and kitchen procedures
n
- Work alongside cooks, and bakers
n

nWe require:n

n
- Experience in a similar professional setting, kitchen and/or Culinary Diploma
n
- Some weekend availability
n
- Reliability, positive attitude, ability to take direction and feedback, ability to work within a team and independently
n
- Good communication
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong work ethic
n
