Our client, an innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing facility is seeking a

Director of Human Resources to lead its HR strategy and operations during an exciting growth phase. With a current workforce of approximately 250 employees and plans to expand to 280–300 within the next year, this non-unionized organization is committed to fostering a dynamic, collaborative environment that emphasizes innovation, operational excellence, and meeting stringent medical and technical standards.

This role is fully on-site, five days per week at the company's facility in

n

Arnprior, Ontario , ensuring hands‑on leadership and close collaboration with employees and the leadership team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Collaborate with the leadership team to forecast workforce needs, optimize organizational structures, and align HR strategies with business objectives.

n

Lead recruitment efforts focused on attracting top‑tier talent while ensuring cultural alignment and meeting technical skill requirements.

n

Design and implement programs for onboarding, leadership development, and performance management to foster employee growth and leadership capabilities.

n

Cultivate strong relationships between employees and management, addressing challenges and promoting a culture of trust, innovation, and teamwork.

n

Streamline policies, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance with labor laws and industry standards.

n

Develop and execute tailored initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, address time and attendance challenges, and improve overall team performance.

n





Oversee safety initiatives and compliance through direct collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.

n

Leadership & Team StructurenThe HR Director will report directly to an innovative and collaborative senior leader, serving as a trusted advisor to a seven‑member leadership team composed of both legacy and newer leaders. The HR Director will lead a team of four direct reports:

Two HR Business Partners (HRBPs):

n

Supporting multi‑shift operations and ensuring HR coverage across the plant.

n

Dedicated Recruiter

n

Driving talent acquisition efforts to support organizational growth.

n

Health and Safety Manager

n

Managing safety programs and compliance across the facility.

n

Qualifications

n

Proven HR leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments (preferred but not required)

n

Demonstrated success in partnering with leadership teams on strategic HR initiatives.

n

Expertise in labour laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.

n

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.

n

Ability to simplify processes while maintaining compliance and alignment with organizational goals.

n

Experience with HRIS systems,



particularly ADP.

n

A positive approach to fostering teamwork and driving operational improvements.

$125,000–$155,000 annually.
